Hot chocolate and Doughnuts!!

You know how everyone has their own comfort food...Hot chocolate is definately super high up on my list. I have been wanting to stop and get hot chocolate and doughnuts for breakfast for such a long time and today I finally got out of the house early enough that I actually got to...I can't tell ya how great it was...haha. I'll have to run an extra 5 minutes tonight, but it was SOO worth it.

We've been busy this week but it seems like our enthusiasm for everything is through the floor. We both were pretty sick last week so this week has seemed to be the can't-get-enough-to-catch-up-on-sleep-week.... Monday night I went to an Interesting Party at my grandma's house. We do it twice a year and the more we do it, the more interesting it gets....It was a "try a new recipe" pot luck dinner party. Now you understand...haha. Justin played softball and then we met at home when he got finished. I had fun. I would have visited more, but I was being chelsie-downer...haha just not that fun. Tuesday night we cleaned the shop all afternoon since Justin's dad got home from China last night and I've been told that's one of his biggest pet peeves....is when Justin thrashes the shop beyond recognition (which is a regular habit of his)...but when we got finished we went to Morgan and Alisons for YUMMY Funnel Cakes. She did wonderfully despite what she may think--haha Alison You're a wonderful home maker and an aspiring farmer and I admire you for your bravery :D haha to even think about raising a cow takes guts!!
Last night Justin finished cleaning the shop while I cooked dinner then he went and shot bows with Morgan while I cleaned. I think Justin is in love....Every time we go hang out with Morgan and Alison, Justin just can't find enough good things to say about Morg and I just laugh. Its fun to teast him but in all seriousness I really appreciate their efforts and friendliness!!!!

Tonight we get the house to ourselves!!! Except that...... I get to babysit my neice, who has been away from her mom an average of three times in the year she has been alive so this could be interesting. I'm not worried at all actually, we have fun together. I think if anyone suffers it will be my sister, Tiffany. It will be wonderful, I'm just sure of it!!!

8/14/08: Here are some pictures of Hailey being 'babysat' and Actually Enjoying it :DThis particular technique is called: dumping out all the water in the water pail to splash and Play in it...
This technique is also a very imporant one for all kids to learn: Building Gravel Castles as opposed to Sand Castles which would be much softer on the hands and feet...but they don't taste as good....

What a long weekend...

It seemed like an extra long weekend to me because of the holiday so I had extra days off.
Friday, I did a lot of cleaning and baking and I made these incredibly cute magnet boards with my best girl friend, I'll post pictures when they're finished. Justin took his cousin Garrett fishing and camping. My dad and Justins friends, Colt and Clint went too, Here are some Pics:

Garrett had never been fishing before so he had fun and enjoyed having some boy time. While they were gone Nichole and I had some much needed girl time. We had fun shopping and going to the movies and just talking, kinda like old times again, it was great.
Saturday, after Justin got home, I hosted a purse party with my Aunt Alison which was fun, not a lot of people came but it was still a good time. After the purses left we went upstairs and played pool...I so need to practice...haha and played on the wii. We were all tired by like 9:30 it was crazy.

Sunday was fun in Nursery, those kids are so darn cute. I love them. We had play time and went out side and blew bubbles on the lawn and found some birds and their nests and picked flowers out of the tree. It's funny to me how entertaining simple things are to children. They just give you a fresh perspective. So fun!!!

After Church we had lunch and then went to my parents house for FHE, which was fun. We fed the 8 baby cows.

After they were fed we went in the house and had our lesson and game. Garrett got to come, which I felt was good for him because he doesn't get to go to church at home, so it's a good learning experience. We ate our dessert and people went home. We had borrowed Eric's RZR to ride over there so Garrett could drive and on the way home we almost ran over two little bucks in the middle of the road. They were still in their velvet and they just stared at us. We see them all the time so it wasn't that new but they had never been so close to us. It was fun for Garrett to see them too.
I had such a great time, I'm so incredibly tired at work today, but It was worth it :D

Softball

Monday Night, Justin talked me into being the fifth girl for their softball game. I was pretty nervous because I'd never played before and i get nervous in front of people. I think I ended up doing alright. I only struck out once in two games and I had fun. That was the important part.

House Project

These are the Cabinets we want:
We have been so incredibly busy lately, it's been great. It seems like if we're busy doing one
thing or another, we enjoy ourselves more than if we just sit around and bum. It's been great. We went to the temple for the first time in about a month on Wednesday and it was great. I would love to do it more often, which I should. We've also been so blessed, it's incredible. We accepted a calling to work in the nursery, as a couple, which is great. We so truely enjoy it !!! And we finally got a buyer for Justin's Harley, which eliminates one payment, which is a great start! We are working so hard to be able to build our house that it's unbelievable. We are so excited. I don't think I've done anything for the last two weeks but draw, re-draw, go over and re-go over Floor Plans---- BUT (cross your fingers) I think we finally got it. I absolutely love it! I can picture it in my head and I'm already just so happy to have a visual of it. I know it's a long ways away, but it's seems closer than reality, just because I get so excited over it. We found the cabinets we want and the flooring, and I find different appliances online all the time, But It's the house we're going to be living in forever so I want to get nice things so they'll last longer.
Last night we actually got enough spare time to go to the Jensen Park with my dad and little brother and hit a few soft balls a couple times and we had a blast. It's been such along time since I've seen my dad this happy, It makes my heart so happy! Justin has done a world of good for our family, especially for my dad, it seems. I can't say how much I appreciate all of it!!! I'm just so grateful.
We also recently got a phone call about Justins truck that we are trying to sell and if everything works out with that, we'll end up making quite a bit of money off of it so we can pay off his four wheeler and have two more payments eliminated. I just pray that it all works out. We both want a house so badly, anything would be worth it at this point.

Ambers Beautiful House

Last night, Justin and I went to his cousin, Amber's new house to have dinner with Justins aunt and three cousins. We had not been in this house, or even seen it since it was being framed and I was ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED at how much I loved it. I've come to realize that Amber and I have very similar tastes, for example. My wedding colors were brown and green, and, unbeknownst to me, she designed her whole house in the colors brown and green. It was so georgous, I loved it. Even the layout, it was modern with an old cottage feel to it. I would move in tomorrow is how much I loved it. I had kindof been dragging my feet on our building the house project because it just seems so far away and it's g oing to be so expensive, but after I saw her house, I got so excited all over again about how many different possibilities there were and just the hopes that someone could love my house as much as I loved hers. We both love to cook and are very interested in health and nutrution. She's VERY organized, which I also enjoy as having as one of my talents. I was astonished. Everything was BRIGHT white, with brown and green accents, which I thought was a great idea because all of the white doesn't get overwhelming because the dark brown of her flooring counteracts it very well. It brings the color back into perspective almost, then she used the most adorable decorations, all in green, as accents and it's just to die for. I love the freshness and simplicity of it. As opposed to putting the color into the cabinets and the paint and things, she left those neutral and put the color into her furnishings and decor, which made is so much more noticable. I just loved it. I can't stop gushing...haha. One more thing....since it's all white, she can change her accent colors whenever she wants and not have to worry about repainting or having it clash with one furnishing or another, because they are all white...it's great.
I'm now so excited to get going on our house, I just want it here and to decorate it and really be able to give it some attitude and personality, just like Amber did with her adorable house. It really is, just so Amber. Love it!!!!

How sweet is he...

I just have to remark on how sweet Justin is. He tries to hard to spoil me and I've never been the spoiling type, so I make it extra difficult for him, without even knowing it. He has been working hard on some of his family property to get hay off of it for my dad's horses and he ended up making some money doing it. I didn't ever think a thing of it, because I figured it would go towards his car or four wheeler or somthing boys like to spend money on. Well He had been paying attention and about a month ago, I broke my favorite flat iron for my hair and went and bought a new cheap little one from wal mart (By the way, never do it) which I hate. So after work yesterday, since he got off before I did and his mom was out of town, he went to wal mart and bought me a new flat iron, which ROCKS! and a new CD and some other silly little things he knew I needed but had not gone and bought for myself and he picked up dinner so when I got home I didn't have to cook. I just thought it was so cute that he was so thoughtful, I had to write something about it.
I know everyone likes to be a pessamist and tell me that it won't last and that he's just sucking up, which may be true, but I just want to enjoy it right now, especially if it won't last. I want to remember the good times.

Moving...

Tiffany, My sister, and her husband and my neice get to move into their new house today. I'm so excited for them. They have been married for two years and have lived with either my parents or his for all but about six months in an apartment on their own right after they got married. I am going to help her move in on my lunch break and after work today. My husband is helping his mom by installing cieling fans in their family's rental house, so It will be fun for me to spend time with Tiffany and Hailey. I enjoy organizing things anyway, so packing and unpacking have always seemed fun to me...kinda weird I guess, but oh well, It's what I like.

Chickens...

My husband wants chickens. He has never been a farmer a day in his life until he met me. He started working with my dad even before we got married and they spent every day together. After a while I started to see a great change come about in his attitude and his character. My dad brought something out in Justin that I had never seen before. Justin and my dad were just alike, but the similarities had not been as apparent until they had a chance to bring them out in eachother. After days together of dreaming about horses and fast cars and fast four wheelers, they became very close friends, which has been such a wonderful blessing to me. I have always been more like my dad and the way they took to eachother improved Justin and mine relationship so much! Now Justin dreams and works and dreams and works just like my dad. He spends more of his time outside and around animals than he ever has before in his life. My dad gave Justin his own horse and with a lot of work they broke her to ride, together, which was a great learning experience for him, and my dad enjoys having someone out there working with him so much. I really do appreciate how much we have all been able to learn and grow by developing new associations and relationships with everyone. It is so great to be so happy all the time. I just never felt like I had lived before when I realized how happy I had become just by making the right choices now, instead of putting them off, like I had before.
