The truck...

In 2007, Justin bought this shell of a 1970 Chevy off E-Bay. We drove all the way to Oklahoma and back in 2 days to pick it up. This truck has been the victim subject of many experiments since then. My dad and Justin have built this truck from scratch and for the first time since 2007, it drove.

It was quite a site to see. It still needs some work, but I'm so happy to see Justin so happy!

Thanks Dad! We couldn't have done it without you!!

Mothers Day

For Mothers Day, Justin and I rode up the mountain to Red Canyon Lodge with Melanie and Monty for dinner.
After dinner we stopped by the Flaming Gorge to see the Spill Way's that they've opened.
This is the third time in the history of the Dam that these Spill Way's have ever been opened. It was quite a site to see.

Even as far back as we were to take pictures, we were getting sprayed, it was really neat.

We got our mom's President Monson's new book for Mothers Day. I've heard it's a great book!

The Sunday after we got home...

After we got home from Salt Lake, as soon as we got out of church the family all came over and I put them right to work putting together my new dining chairs and floating shelf.

Right after we ate lunch of course...

Natalie was super helpful

She had some major static goin on...

After wearing us all out, Hailey finally fell asleep on grandmas lap.

And...

Wa-La!!!

Now all I have to do is decorate the floating shelf and the dining transformation will be complete.
Yay!

Thanks for all your help everyone! Love ya.

Annual Salt Lake Trip...

Every year, the weekend before Mothers day, my family has always gone to Salt Lake to take pictures at Temple square while all the flowers are still in bloom.

On Friday morning, Tiffany and Jason and the girls left earlier than my parents and us. They called us @ 7:30 to tell us they rolled their Yukon going over Strawberry.
I instantly had this horrible picture in my head of Hailey or Natalie flying out the window and being crushed.
Luckily everyone was fine.
My parents came strait to my house and we flew  drove very carefully over the mountain, but it was a long 2 hours before I got to see this happy little face!!!

She got a few scratches on her cheek from the glass in her window when it shattered.

This is the car once they got it to the wrecking yard. It wasn't torn up too badly from the front, but everywhere else was destroyed.
The insurance company totaled it.

We picked them up at Daniels Summit Lodge, went and dug through the glass and snow in the car to try and find Tiffany's Wallet, Hailey's shoes- etc. etc.....the on we went...

We made a few stops....Tiffany had an eye appointment to see if she was a candidate for Lasik. Her and I and my Uncle Todd all had the same problem (think it's genetic?) All of our Corneas are too thin.

So on to IKEA we went to buy my dining chairs and floating shelf...

But we had to stop for some mac n' cheese in the cafeteria first.

After IKEA  we spent a good part of the rest of the day at the South Towne Mall...

The girls got new shoes...

We rode the train... (Our kids are going to be so spoiled if Justin has anything to do with it)

The guys all bought new sunglasses...

Then Saturday morning, after playing in the pool and eating breakfast, Hailey let me do her hair for pictures that day...

Once we got to the temple grounds (in the snow) we walked through the visitors center...

And took a few pictures.

Then we stopped back by the Mall and Costco before we went home.
But the girls had to ride the "circus" before we left...

We had a great trip.
It is phone calls like the one we got that Friday morning that make us really think about the most important things in life. We can buy all the shoes we want, and take all the pictures we want, but nothing in the world is a precious as the people we love.
I'm so grateful I get to spend the time with my family that I do. In a way I'm glad that Tiffany and Jason wrecked their car because they had to ride around with us all weekend long, and it was great to have them and their girls with us all the time!
