November Came and went....

These last few months have been so high speed, I have not been able to keep up at all. November came and went before I knew what hit me. The main events of the month: I got my vinyl lettering Machine finally! Yay. I have been a sticker-makin fool. It's been fun. Justin and I did Santa's workshop the two days after thanksgiving. Well, he was there for Friday, then Saturday him and the rest of the family went to Salt Lake for a fun day of shopping while I sat and babysat the booth...Yes I'm whining a little. It turned out ok though.

Justin got a new job and is now Happily working as a Pumper for EOG. I feel so much more confident about him having this job. I love that he gets off at 3 every day and that he enjoys what he does. I love that it's not stressful to him and that he has transitioned well. It's wonderful.
I got the Christmas tree up the first week in December. It is our first Christmas as a married couple so this is OUR first Christmas tree. Justin helped choose the christmas ball ornaments and then he got it up the stairs and put together. The rest he left to me, which I enjoyed. I think he knew I would too, it was great.
Monty and Eric got home a few days before Thanksgiving and we have had a great time visiting. Eric has been gone the last week, but he's enjoying his time in St. George. Monty took a bad fall off the roof on his last month home and they took him to the doctor last week and he tore the muscle in the top of his shoulder pretty bad. It's going to require surgery, but he isn't able to do it until March, so we feel for him.
Tonight Melanie and Monty took Justin, Tyler and I to a Bar J wranglers concert at the high school. It was incredibly funny. We had a great time! Thanks guys.

I also am SO excited. Tiffany Morton is so great. She took some pictures of Justin and I for some Christmas cards and she must be and incredible editor because they turned out great! I can't get enough of them. Thank you so much Tiffany! We owe you big time! She E-mailed me some and I couldn't wait to share some of them, so here they are.

Halloween...and Snow?

Yesterday when I woke up, there was snow outside. It was so very beautiful and cold! I was surprised that it stuck as well as it did. Usually it melts quickly but it didn't this time. I had to brush my car off before it could go to work. It was surprisingly fun. Between the snow and Halloween being over I am getting excited for Christmas! I have started my shopping already, which seems like it's the never ending story, but it's fun, especially since I'm shopping for other people, I love giving gifts.
Our Halloween was fairly uneventful. Justin and I invited Colt, Jessica, and Clint out to the house. We barbecued some dinner and then sat in the hot tub, got out and played some pool and Ninetendo. Before they came out to the house though, I went to visit my parents and see Hailey in her costume and Karri and Jeff happened to be there with Connor and Brennan so I got to see their adorable outfits too. It was great. Here are a few pictures.
The day after Halloween, Which was Saturday. Justin and I spent the day in town helping Colt, Jess and Clint move into their new apartment. It was fun, we were really busy but we got them moved into their new place so that was great.
Today we got the good news that mammy is coming Home Monday. She has been in the University of Utah Hospital for 11 days after having a cancerous tumor removed from her lung. She's been through a battle, but amazing as she is, she's still with us and we're so glad! We're very excited to have her back home and feeling better!

A slow Rumble....

Life has been pretty basic lately, work, go home, clean, go to bed. Justin has been working a lot of hours so I haven't seen him that much lately. Wednesday I went to Provo with my mom to go shopping and found some cute stuff. Bought new scrapbooking supplies so I'm excited to get caught up with that. I have over a year's worth of pictures to do...that's overwhelming but I've changed modes, I'm tired of building the boards and things for now so I want to get caught up with my scrapbooking, I'm in the mood for it, so yeah. Justin and Dad had to Work in Coalville, just north of Salt Lake Wednesday and Thursday so they had hotel rooms already reserved, so we all met up in Heber and we all went shopping and went to Dinner. We finally got to take mom and dad to Tucano's. Dad had been there before and wanted to take mom, so I'm glad we finally got to. I think she liked it. Then we all drove up to Coalville and mom and I stayed the night with the guys and left at 4 in the morning yesterday so we could both be home in time for work. Paula, my boss, is in California on Vacation so I've been the only one at the shop the last two days and it's been slow. Kinda boring, but I keep myself busy. I'm getting better at doing the flowers so it's always fun to work on those.
Tyler, Amy and Josie are up here visiting while Tyler is out working. Melanie and Mammy are leaving Monday to go to Salt Lake so Amy and Josie are going home that day since there won't be anybody at the house but them.
We are planning on going to Haul Wood tomorrow morning up on the mountain so that'll be a workout. I'm trying to get ready for the Santa's workshop that is coming up after Thanksgiving also that We've signed up to have a booth in. I'm nervous to see how it will go, but at the same time, if we can make a little money off of our stuff, why not. It won't hurt us to try.
I feel bad because Jen, My cousin, is getting married that weekend in Wyoming and I wont be able to go and support her after she was such a good sport about my wedding and took time off work and helped take everything down after the reception. I want to send her a really nice gift and card. Any Ideas? Would you be offended if it was your wedding and I did that to you given the circumstance? We've never been super close, but I try to make an effort....I don't know.
I had fun playing and visiting with Amy and Josie last night while I was trying to get caught up from being gone and waiting for Justin to get home. My goodness that girl has grown. She's so cute and fun.
I could hear her squeeling and teasing her mom this morning while i was getting ready. She's just so happy. It's wonderful!
Good to get to visit with them!

Here is a link to our "Pratts Creations" Blog

Come and visit our Business Blog

The colors are changing! It's so beautiful

It has been a while since I've posted and it looks like everyone is getting along great and having fun, which couldn't make me happier. Things have been busy at home and I'm continuously learning that change can always be for the better, if you look at it through the right perspective. My job is working out wonderfully. I love how lax the atmosphere is and how friendly. I get to be creative and helpful. There's no pressure, I get to do my own things and learn at the same time and it all has turned out great so far. I have loved getting off work early enough to have time to get things done in the afternoons. I have had more time to work on my projects which has evolved into it's own business.
Tyler helped Justin and I set up our own corporation online called JCP, LLC (what a mouth full) but I think it's cute and we set up a DBA under it called Pratt's Creations so we can start writing off all the time and money we spend on making this stuff and we can legally sell it and track it as a business expense. I'm really excited about it and so is Justin.
We are going to set up a booth in one week (Yikes) On the 17th at the Girls Night Out. It's at the Western Park from 6:30-8 so if anyone wants to come, feel free and bring a friend!
Justin's been enjoying having Tyler here, they get to talk guy stuff and Justin is such a dreamer that he likes having Tyler to tell his ideas to because he knows I don't always know what to say to him when he comes up with these crazy things.
Although, he is enjoying selling pearls and we have recently signed up to be distributors of the Health Juice called Exfuze Seven+. It is an amazing product! I have noticed such a difference in the way he feels and acts lately, it's awesome. He doesn't have to take his Melatonin to sleep anymore. He is more alert when he is awake and he sleeps better. He gets up easier and he has had more energy even though he has been working longer hours for the past few weeks.
A few days ago we had some friends over for dinner, barbecued and told them about the product and they were really excited to try it out so he might get his first sign up from that. It's been great.
I've visited with my sister a lot lately, she has been making baby blankets and is going to bring them down to the Girls Night Out and we are going to share a booth, so that'll be fun. My little brother got his drivers license this week which is kinda....really scary but really good for him at the same time.
I think it will help him be alittle more independent from my parents and he will be able to go out more and have more fun, so that will be great.
Overall things have been going well, I went to bunco for the second consecutive time this last week at Alison's house and had a lot of fun. I enjoy getting to know the other girls and listening to their stories. They're all so funny. I think I'm the only one in the group that isn't either pregnant or doesn't already have kids so that sets me apart a little bit, but I still enjoy listening to their stories, so Thanks Alison for inviting me! I have enjoyed getting out of the house and my regular routine to go and have some fun!!

October Already!!!

It's October already!! I got out the decorations and we're ready to roll!!!

It's been a whole week-- or so-- and we've been busy. Justin has been out on late night jobs a lot lately so of course I've been buildling stuff to keep myself busy. I heard though, that one of the lessons taught at the womens conference, last Saturday, (that I missed) was that there were two keys to happiness 1-Creat something every day and 2-Service, Service, Service.

I feel like I've got the first one down pretty well, the second, I'm working on. I've been loving my job. It's so much more fun and laid back and creative. I get to build things...well, help build things and watch and learn how the pro's make all that cute stuff, lol. It's been great.
Paula has been teaching me, slowly, how to make different arrangements. She's always right next to me coaching me along/ fixing my mess-ups, so it's been fun. We started small and basic, I learned about leather and built a few double and triple rose bouquets, and today I did a small Three-Gerber-daisy and Yellow-Wax topiary, which turned out looking like a weird bush, but they said that's what it was supposed to look like so I took their word for it.
I just can't get over how much fun I'm having and how much I'm learning just by watching--and getting paid for it. So great.
Monty got home last week and we've had fun visiting and teasing him. The other day he did one of the Ionizing foot Bath's and he was in the living room and I was sitting at the bar eating dinner when He asked Ruth how much longer he had to sit there. She told him he had about thirteen Minutes left and I laughed and told him "Yeah, but we aren't going to turn it off til the brown runs out of your eyes so we know you're not full of Shi* anymore," We all laughed for about five minutes, It was great.
Sunday after church Melanie and Monty hooked up the camper and headed up to Moose Head in colorado to go camping for the night. Justin, Dad and I all hopped in the car and followed them up there, we wanted to drive around and try to find some Elk and listen to them bugle. I didn't want to go very badly, but I did and when we got there....I've never seen so many elk!!! We saw probably 200 within ten miles of eachother, they were bugling all the time, it was like they were singing songs to us. So beautiful!!!

Other than that, We've just been running around, working and I've been building stuff. I have to share my lastest creations, because it's what makes me happy...when Justin's not around :D

When I got home today, I got this hair brained Idea that I would try to build a real bouquet out of flowers from the yard by myself....I was actually pretty pleased with how it turned out...Here it is...

I found these cute rustic Ceiling tins for sale on an online craft store and got this idea. So I ordered four and I had Jill make me Four Vinyl Letters "L" "O" "V" "E" and when the tins got here, I stuck one letter per tin, then I drilled Holes in the top of the tins. I'm going to buy a board tomorrow, paint it, distress it and nail four small nails in it far enough apart that I can hang each tin on one of the nails...I think it'll be cute, we'll see, but this is all I've gotten done so far...

Justin and I have been making Rice Bags like crazy. We're thinking about renting a booth at the Santas Workshop and selling some of the "Junk" I've built because it's taking up more and more room in the storage shed. The other day, after he watched me do so many, he made some all by himself. He did great! He had the great idea to buy Camo fabric and make some "Manly Ones"...haha

My dad has a plum tree in his front yard that was totally LOADED with Plums and Melanie was making jelly the other day, so i picked about four branches worth/ about 3 gallons and she helped me make Plum Jelly out of them. I shared some with my dad since they were his plums, but now we've got a few pints of Jelly to use up!! They turned the prettiest pink color too! I was so surprised.

New Job...

So I was recently given a wonderful opportunity to go and work doing something that I've always wanted to do. A lady I've known for quite a while is opening a gift shop type store that 's going to do floral arrangements and gift baskets (What I want to do) and also sell an array of small home decor. I'm really excited to go and work for her. My first day is Monday, so I will no longer be working for Dr. Pierce. I think it's going to be a great opportunity and blessing. I will have a more flexible part time schedule so it will be a lot easier on my schedule. I should get off in the early afternoon so I have time to get things done before Justin gets off work, thus we can spend more time having fun. :D I'm very very excited!

Round and round...

I've been trying to get some time in on my quilting while Justin has been gone. I've gotten down to Embroidering my circles on and binding it....but the circles are taking forever!!! I'm doing thirthy of them and each one takes 3-5 minutes I'm guessing...oh wow... Such along process, I guess it would take longer to do it by hand...So I'm grateful the machine can do it.
Justin will be home tomorrow around 8pm. I'm going to go help my parents haul wood in the morning so hopefully that will make the time go by faster.

Pink!!!

So I had an idea at work today for a cork board and when I got home, i got right to it. This is how it turned out. I made another one, but left it at my mom's house when I went to show her. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow. Let me know what you think??
Justin will be home in 3 days. I can't wait. I'm so excited!!!

Hailey's Birthday

Saturday, Melanie and I went to an estate sale at 8:30, we were excited thinking it would have some neat furniture or something, but it was just a normal, junky old garage sale :D So we went to Walmart to get Hailey some presents, I went home, stuck them in a bag, grabbed my jello and headed to the park. They grilled hamburgers and we ate, opened presents and had cupcakes. It was good to have so many people come and support Hailey, we sure do love her.
She is so stinkin cute, she has two top teeth and they have a tiny gap right now so her smiles are so cute!!!
Brennan loves to give Hugs and Hailey doesn't totally understand....

Justin in Texas...

Since my last post on the 5th Lots has happened...again, lol. Friday we had his birthday party, then Saturday we went to the NATCO company Barbecue. It is starting to cool down and the days have been just gorgeous. Perfect weather, green grass, green trees, it's been great! That was fun, then that night we came home, Justin ran to the Jensen Hills to catch one last ride before he left Sunday morning to Texas. That made me sad. We watched a movie when he got home then he got up at 5 and left me for two weeks.

I went to church and babysat in Nursery. Mom and dad came in the last hour to help me because I was there alone and we had fun. After that Melanie, Eric Pratt and I went to Maeser and sat through their sacrament with them for Grayson's baby blessing. I had fun playing with Ashton, we kept eachother entertained. I had a hard time staying awake through all of it though.

Monday I went to work, and kept myself busy working on my personal cook book with all my favorite recipes in it and running errands. When I got home I finished sewing together the top of my quilt and I sewed the bottom two pieces together, so now I just embroider it and sew the top and bottom together and I'll be done.

Tuesday morning I picked Jess up at 6:30 and we met Shayla in Roosevelt and all piled in her car and took Jess out for surgery. We had fun. Then we spent FOREVER getting to our motel because the closest interstate entrance was closed so we had to backstreet our way around. Once we finally got there, we got Jess settled and ordered some dinner, then Shayla dyed my hair for me. I loved it!!!! She did it darker than I've ever had it before and I really like the contrast that it has with my blonde.
Wednesday we took Jess to a checkup then we headed home. Once we got into Vernal, we got her settled at home, I went to work for 1 1/2 hours and caught up on paperwork from the days I'd missed, then i went to the park and talked to Justin on the phone as much as I could before I met Alice and Alison and we went to Bunco together. That was really fun. After that was over at about 9 I came home and got new clothes and pajamas and went to my parents house and stayed the night. They went to Salt Lake to the state fair on a date so i had to get Eric up for school yesterday morning. He got up and out the door on time though so it worked.

After I got Eric off to school I came and helped Melanie and Eric Pratt get a load in the back of Eric's truck because he went to St. George so he took some stuff down to Tyler and Amy. Then I got ready and went to work. On my lunch break I had to come home and clean because I had an Arbonne Skin Care Party at 7 when I got off work. That was fun. It was just Melanie and me, but we got what we wanted and had fun with it. Between Work and the party I did another quick little vinyl project on Mimmy's windows. I liked this one a lot. Here's a picture.

Today was a less busy day. I just worked and took Jess lunch and visited with her on my lunch. After work i picked Eric W. up from Tiffany's house and took him home because he'd missed the bus and needed a ride home. Now I've just been puttering around trying to get all my little things caught up. I've learned that keeping myself busy helps distract me from how much I miss Justin...which is horribly. This is the longest I've ever been away from him. Only 7 more days and I can't wait!!I had to catch a picture of this though........

Liddy loves to chew on bones and she is FAMOUS for finding horns and bones all over the place on the hill behind the house and in the hay fields and sheds...wherever she can find them. Justin wants to take her hunting for Sheds because she's always bringing home Deer and cow horns...but this was definately something new!! It's a whole Bull Skull!!! haha She's so funny. She's my pride and Joy :D haha makes me smile. She's like my kid :D
Now I get to go make jello for Hailey's birthday party in the morning. Before the party though, Melanie and I are going to go to an Estate Sale at the Showalters uptown and have fun with that...after the party I'm going to bottle beans with mom, and she's going to let me have them, which I will love! Then I'm going to go to Nichole's older brothers, Chris Reynolds and Tisha Raymond's reception because they got married today in the SLC temple. Yay!!

Justin's Birthday

Friday night, before Justin had to leave on Sunday, we had a birthday party for him. Melanie cooked his favorite peanut chicken for dinner, which was really good and we got his favorite Raspberry swirl cake for him. He is in Texas today, on his real birthday, so i sent him flowers and Balloons. Quite a few people came up to celebrate with us, it was really fun. We had Mam, Pappy, Melanie, Eric, My Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother, Brothwer-in-law, Neice and My Wadsworth Grandparents from Wyoming were here so they came down too. Jess, Colt and clint came down to visit too, which was really fun. We had a really good time.

Good thought.

"You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence is not an event; it is a habit"-Aristotle

I really liked that quote. It hits me deep and reminds me of another quote that says something to the effect of what you do when you're alone reveals your true character. I love quotes, they make me think. There are a lot of very wise people that have contributed greatly to this world and their thoughts and wisdom continue to be shared through the words they left behind.

Last night Justin and I did one of those detox foot ionizing things with Ruth Norris from our ward, she came over and hooked us up to it. I was really sceptical at first, it didn't make sense to me how these little ions would travel through your body, attach to ONLY the bad toxins and then know that they were supposed to carry them back down to the tub of water...I did a lot of reading and most of it was negative. I actually wasn't going to do it. I wanted Justin to do it, then I would think about it, but I was the first one home and we didn't want to keep her waiting, so I did it. I was very surprised. I thought the water would just turn different colors like there was food coloring in it, but there was actually a texture to it, you could see the specs of color and they permeated the water. there were metal chunks that came out and the water turned all different colors through the course of it, there was foam and bubbles, it was very interesting to say the least. I still don't know if I believe it, but even if it didn't do exactly what it was supposed to, I know it did something. I was also supported by watching Justin's do it, everyone's comes out different, so I do believe that something chemical happens between the conductors, water and the hormones and toxins in the body.
After the foot baths she practiced reflexology on all of us and I really enjoyed that, it wasn't a deep tissue massage like I enjoy, but I'll never pass up a foot rub!!! When she left, Justin, me and Melanie all soaked our feet in the tub full of warm water and tried out my new arbonne sea salt scrub, it was so great! I was surprised that Justin did it with us, but he liked it too. He's like me to where he won't pass up a foot anything :D It was fun.

Labor Day

Sunday I started working on a new quilt, since Justin was gone and the fabric had just been sitting there so I started to cut it into squares..now the only question is how long it will take me to actually finish it.
So for my Monday/Labor Day off, since Justin was still at the sand dunes, but on his way home, Jessica Kissling and I decided that we needed to get some new clothes. We've found that we both have pretty similar taste so it was really fun to go shopping and get an honest opinion on clothes and stuff that I agreed with. It was really fun. I was so happy to be home though. I got to see Justin after three days and it was so good to have him home!!!

Swiss Days

Yesterday Tiffany, Hailey, Mom, Nichole and Me all got up early and drove to midway for thier famous Swiss Days. I didn't really know what to expect, but since Justin and Dad and both Eric's went to the Sand Dunes this weekend and left us home alone, I figured what the heck. Alison invited me months ago then it expanded from there with us inviting people. It was fun. Hailey hated the car ride, but she's very attached to her mom so that was hard for her. She slept most of the time but when she wasn't sleeping, she was crying. She did really well though, such a trooper. She spend half the day in the car, then the other half being pushed around in a bumpy stroller in the sun. It was SO hot. It was really neat though. Whoever set it up was incredibly organized. There were free shuttles, they didn't charge admission, it was free to everyone. There were food booths everywhere on the East side of the park then from there West was completely packed with Booths. We saw so many cute and interesting things for sale. People are so creative. I'm glad I kept myself under control so well or I couldv'e spent a lot of money. Tiffany, Alison and Nichole bought themselves some really cute things. The majority of the stuff for sale was home decor oriented type stuff, but that wasn't all. There was a lot of metal working stuff, there was a booth filled with different types of little wooden guns that shot rubber bands and marshmallows and stuff. There were purses, signs, soaps, scriptures, calendars, paper dolls, Mod Mom wraps, picture frames galore, quilts, clothes, a lot of vinyl lettering booths and so on. We had a lot of fun. It was good to get out of the house and experience something new. On the way home we stopped in Myton/Bridgeland and ate at the new Hollow Moon Cafe. I've heard so many people rant and rave over it and yeah, it was good...but not any different than a lot of other places...Just regular food.. and they were incredibly slow, good nonetheless.

Hailey was much happier to have all her clothes off on the car ride home, which helped.
