Our beautiful snow dog

I woke up this morning to find about 2" of snow on the ground that wasn't there at 11:30 when I went to bed. We are babysitting Melanie's two new border collie puppies while she took Monty to the airport. I debated taking the dogs on their walk or not, since it was snowy and cold and I didn't know how Milly and Matty would behave, but I decided to enjoy it instead of fear it. I piled on the fleece sweats, and jackets, and in order to keep my feet and pant bottoms dry, I wore my cowboy boots with my pants tucked into them. I'm sure it was a sight to see, but the dogs had so much fun, it was worth it. Watching Liddy play so well with these two puppies makes me excited to get our new puppy tomorrow! She is going to love her new friend, I just know it :DI love this picture! This is totally her personality. TOTAL goofball!

The Heart Has Forever

I finally had time to finish reading last weeks book yesterday. It was called The Heart Has Forever by: Kerry Blair. It was such a good book! 100% Romance novel with a wonderful back story! It was entertaining, emotional and funny. Very easy to read, I have to recommend it to anyone who loves LDS Romance Novels. This is a good one!

Fall Weekends

This last weekend was a busy one! We have just been enjoying the new house so much! Monty has been up to the house helping us so much too, I just appreciate it so much!
He has gotten the garage wired and today they are going to insulate and sheet it, and build a loft. It will be great for storage!
I finally got our Office unpacked and the computer hooked up. I'm still sorting through the little junk, but the big stuff is taken care of. I have faith it will all be put together soon! I'm so excited.
Sunday was stake conference, and I didn't know about it until it was too late, so I ended up baking all afternoon. It was so fun. Justin got home in time to help me with most of it. I made my first pumpkin roll ever, and I do have to say, even for someone who doesn't like Pumpkin or Cinnamon very much...it was great! It even turned out relatively pretty.
Then I got brave and altered a recipe for a lemon pound cake into a french vanilla poppy seed cake with lemon flavored glaze. It was soooo good :D
We're having so much fun!
Yesterday I got to spend the morning training at the Marriott with Trish. I have to say, I love it! I thoroughly enjoyed my job at the Best Western for years, and was truly sad to have it end, but being back in the business has really made me do some serious goal setting. I'm so glad to have some career goals, and the funny part is that they don't require me to have any more schooling than I already do. I'm not sure if I want to go back now as much as I did before. I will still do some specialized training and continue studying the random things that interest me, but...wow. Yeah. I finally know what my career should be and I'm excited to work for it :D
We also, are so excited that this Saturday we are going to Park City to pick up the second addition to our family. We are buying another Samoyed. That will give Justin his own dog and Liddy a friend. It will be great.

The Holidays

With the Holidays approaching, I have many things to be excited for.
Just read:
  1. Even more sweater/hoodie friendly days
  2. Christmas shopping/ shopping in general
  3. Decorating our new house for Christmas
  4. Hot chocolate
  5. Our new Puppy coming to join our family
  6. A lot of great food (Mostly the Mashed Potatoes and Gravy)
  7. Lots of travel time with my wonderful hubby
  8. Great times to be spent with the family
  9. Hot chocolate
  10. Scarf-wearing season
  11. All the new Christmas smells I just ordered from Scentsy
  12. Holidays mean days off of work = more sleep
  13. Christmas Party's and Presents
  14. Justin's one year anniversary being employed with EOG (the best company ever)
  15. Boots! I love boots
  16. Hot baths after a freezing cold day
  17. Hay rides in dad's wagon and MORE Hot chocolate afterwards
  18. Liddy's fur getting even MORE fluffy! I love how fluffy she is.
  19. Justin and I to get our annual family pictures for Christmas cards
  20. The pretty sparkley snow
  21. Not having to drive back and forth from Jensen on slick roads! ( I love living in town)
  22. Beginning my training and "fill-in" days at the Marriott so I can learn their system and apply for Manager when the new one opens!
  23. I mostly just love the cheery spirit that everyone adopts. The Holidays change people; it reminds them to have the charity that seems to be forgotten at other times of the year. I am ready for that change to come about in the Basin!

There is a harmony in autumn, and a luster in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen, as if it could not be, as if it had not been!”

The colors are wonderful! I am so happy Autumn is here. With it's falling leaves and Holidays approaching. It reminds me and excites me that the time to see much of my family is almost here.
Justin and I had a wonderful weekend and Halloween. Tiffany, Jason, Hailey and Natalie came from St. George on Wednesday and stayed with us until yesterday. Grandma and Grandpa Wadsworth came down from Wyoming on Saturday also and stayes until Yesterday. We all had such a good time visiting! We played games, watched movies, had big dinners, carved pumpkins, went trick or treating, and even built our dog run! Here are a few pictures, enjoy!
Happy Halloween :D
When they first got here, she was so excited to finally be at "Chechee's house"
The playdough factory...

Just playin cards, rockin Hailey.

Hailey and Poppa. She loves to wear hats, she's all girl.
Hailey was helping me rake up the rotten apples.

Before the fence...

Dad and Justin mixing the Quikcrete for the fence posts

Hailey was so cute, she followed me everywhere the whole time they were here. It was fun.

Liddy's beautiful Kennel :D The fence turned out great! (Thanks Dad and Justin)

Hailey loves pasta salad so I made some for them and she literally, couldn't get enough.

Natty slept most of the weekend. Such a little sweetheart.
Hailey teaching her baby to say "Cheese" for the camera

Everyone visiting

Hailey didn't know what to think of the slimy guts in the pumpkin. After she touched them once she made her mom finish carving it, she didn't want to touch it.
Hailey was a Dinosaur. Her tail was so cute :D

Natty was the cutest Chicken ever :D

On our way to the Trunk-or-Treat

Our front porch on Halloween

The morning Hailey left, she was so sad, so we kept taking pictures to keep her distracted. She's such a doll.

Pictures!

I know it's taken forever, but I finally found my camera chord so here are a ton of pictures! From the beginning of the packing to the...almost end of unpacking. The house looks like a wreck in all the pictures, but at least you can tell it's being lived in and enjoyed!

I do have to say that I am so proud and grateful to have such a multitalented husband to help me with all my designing dreams for our home :D. He does such a wonderful job and is so patient with me. He's truly, the best!

P.S. These got so out of order when I was uploading them, sorry.

The makings of our master suite! The wall turned out so great. We just need to finish the wall decorations and curtains now.

Justin painted the laundry room Red! It's actually called Chinese Laquer, but I like it.

There is a living room in the midst of the junk :D

Liddy and I go on walks every morning when she's home. She spent the weekend with me last weekend between the garage and laying on blankets in the house. She also is great at staying on the porch right in front of the door. She's in Jensen until we finish building her Kennel, so I hope we can finish it this weekend cause I MISS her!

This is the finished product for the dining room. I know the beginning pictures are at the end...but I can't fix it, so oh well.

This is our new couch! We love love it! It's so soft and it cleans up so easily!

My dad and mom have been so great and helpful in this whole experience! I appreciate and love them so so much. The Kitchen....it was a wreck the whole time because like 1/4 of the stuff we own...goes in the kitchen :D

Justin, starting to paint the wall in our bedroom

The dining room getting its transformation.

Starting to unload stuff...it was just piled everywhere.

SOLD! This is us right before we went to close

The first things we unloaded! Our beds :D

Liddy had to ride in the cab with us because the bed of the truck was full and she was being such a little baby, I had to hold her in my lap the whole way. She is so spoiled!

We looked like hilbilly's with our truck full of mattresses! This was me starting to pack :D Little did I know, how much more was to come!

Homeward

I just finished reading the book Homeward by Marcie Anne Jenson. It is an LDS novel about a Chilean Indian who is orphaned as a child and adopted into an American LDS Family, who returns to Chile at the request of her biological Mapuche Indian grandmother and discovers her biological ancestory and connects the history of her Mapuche lineage with the lineage of the gospel.

I honestly had a hard time reading this book. I had to get nearly 2/3 of the way through the book before it "turned into a good book." I think part of the reason I had a hard time getting into it was because of all the ethnic references involved in it. There are many Spanish and Mapudungun words and the story is quite piecey at the beginning. Although, I am grateful I persevered and finished it, because the ending is worth it. The story comes together, makes you want to cry and smile for the rest of the day :D What a good book is supposed to do :D
