Sweet Moments...

Have you tried the new Pillsbury Sweet Moments brownies? I found them in the refrigerator section at walmart the other day and they looked SO good, I just had to buy some. I got the regular brownie and they come 2 in a box. You microwave them for 15 seconds and Wa-La...warm yummy brownie!!! I love them! If you haven't tried them already {and you're not on a diet} You should!!!

Happy Friday!

Hello!!!
This is just the beginning of what I'm hoping will be a great weekend. I was going to go to Wyoming with my parents to see my family, but I decided I have too many little things to do, so we'll have to go another time, so I'm staying home! I'm really excited because tonight, I should get my new Netflix of Gillmore girls {I'm nearly finished with them-- so sad!} and Justin and I can watch all four episodes (like we usually do) with some sort of fast food/junk food fest and work on making more book page wreaths for my Santa's workshop booth (that I have YET to sign up for :D)

Then-- Tomorrow I get to study study study and take EXAM 1 for PSYCH 1400-- It'll be good to have that overwith...then I have a nice long list of things I could do....

  1. Go garage Saleing

  2. Clean my house (no big deal right?)

  3. Laundry

  4. Make more wreaths

  5. Do more homework

  6. Go to the USU grand opening @ 11 and get some Aggie Ice Cream :D

  7. I could go to the temple again (We went last night...Can I just say I love love that place!)

  8. I could drag my firends around to all the little boutiques in Vernal that I haven't been in for quite a while

  9. I could decorate for fall?

  10. I could go exercise @ the Rec. center or at Freedom Fitness, since we just got signed up with them too. Yippee.

  11. I could do some baking....

  12. I could make one of these signs {which I think are SO cute}

I mean...the options are endless and I'm loving it. there are some thing I guess I should do...but it's the first weekend of Fall-- and that's a good enough excuse for me to just 'let it fly.'

I am excited, however, for the Releif Society conference Saturday afternoon. They are always so inspiring and happy. I love going to the fireside/conferences.

Anyway....I'm sure it'll be a great weekend for us, Hope you have a good one too!!

Poor Sega....

Today Justin found Sega dead on the front lawn. At first he thought he was just sleeping, until he went back outside and he was in the same spot letting the sprinklers run on him. The poor little guy. He was such a sweetie! The second you walked up to him, he started to purr and man did he have a little motor! He loved the Banana Chair and would chase his tail for hours! He loved to attack his reflection in the mirror, or glass on the fireplace. The silly guy would sleep On top of his kennel on a blanket, instead of in his bed inside his kennel. He was such a good kitty! He potty trained himself and was learning about our "family walks." We usually just carried him, but last night, he followed us and the dogs up and back down the street- diving into every other weed or attacking all the sunflowers. He was such a sweet little fella. He would let Hailey 'play' with him and never got mad or threw a fit. We never really thought we were cat people- even after we got him, he was sweet but we just kept going-- what did we do. Now there's a huge {tiny} void knowing he's gone. The girls are so sad and melancholy. They know something was wrong. We can't figure it out, he wasn't scratched, there was no blood, the dogs weren't out there with him, there wasn't anything poisonous he could get into- that we know of... Anyway

Sleep away Sega-- We'll miss you.

A student again...

This Saturday will be my first of 3 Exams in one of my psychology classes, which in my head symbolizes that I’ve completed almost 1/3 of my class. I’ve worked hard to stay ahead on things and to study hard. I’ve done so much work on my assignments, and it’s paid off with re-assuring comments in the “notes” section from my teachers!! YAY!!
Very much appreciated.
I am glad to be going back to school. It hasn’t been easy. I forgot how much time it took to be a good student, lol. Justin has been such a trooper! He’s been reading my books with me {AKA lets me read them out loud to him when I study, and he actually pays attention} so we’re learning together. He has been helping so much more around the house to make sure I have my time to study and do homework.
I’m very excited to see what my final grades are going to be and even better what this will bolster my GPA to!!!

In other news, Justin and I finished out our Co-Ed Softball season last night. We had such a great team this year! We only lost 3 games right at the beginning of the season, and won every game after that, just so we could choke during the tournament. We let 2 teams beat us that really shouldn’t have, but that’s okay! Let’s just say now I have more study time!!!
Until October 5th…that is….I am so excited! I got invited to play on a women’s volleyball team! I love love volleyball. I haven’t played in such a long time, it’s going to be interesting, but I’m really looking forward to it! I hope we can just get out there and have a good time! It’ll be a great opportunity to keep me exercising, and hopefully the dust comes off my ‘skills’ really fast, lol. Justin is also going to be playing flag football {Oh Heavenly Father, Please help us!!—Seriously}
I know he is such an athletic little spirit, but he gets hurt SO MUCH! I feel so bad for him and the worst part is…well 1…it’s football (need I say more) and 2. Our games will probably be on the same days of the week so, I must thank Ben, who has so graciously volunteered to be the ‘ambulance’ driver for me when I’m not around.
I know he’ll love it and have fun. He’ll be playing with a lot of great guys! It’ll be good for him!

So here we go…study, play, study, play!

Just a blurb.....

I can't believe September is almost over!! This means:
  • I'm surviving school! YAY! {Fairly well actually! Score!}
  • Justin turned 24, Haile turned 3 and Natalie turned 1
  • My dad's birthday is coming up
  • Softball is ending-- tonight is one of our last games in the tournament
  • I'm getting the crafting jitters
  • Christmas is on it's way-- which means we need to get shopping!
  • We have a cat now??? What were we thinking, lol {He's an awesome cat though!! We love him}
  • We get to go to ward temple night Tuesday! So fun.

We are just so blessed!!!

The grass is growing in our backyard now! Yahoo! We got the garage cleaned and Justin's stuff taken back to his "man cave"/shop. I'm getting my wood working area all set up. Just have to go pick up the $15 old crappy desk I found at D.I. to use as my work table-- I didn't want to buy a new one just to beat it up, lol. Makes no sense!

We got our front "island" that used to house the Tulips, all pit lined and graveled with my Shepherds hooks and hanging solar lanterns in, so we don't have to worry about the weeds coming in right there.

We've gotten a lot done this summer and this Fall is going to be great!

Sweet Treats and Sweet Memories

We are up for a busy weekend and while I would rather sleep, I know it will be great fun! Justin and I have a ward Harvest Party tonight at 6:30. I'm supposed to bring a dessert-- I still can't decide what to make. I'm thinking maybe some Smore Brownies from http://www.3fourandunder.blogspot.com/
Or making some of these Salted caramel cupcakes from http://www.meandmypinkmixer.blogspot.com/.
But I still don't know. Justin is going to attempt to make some Bacon wrapped stuffed peppers he had the other day, so we'll see how it all goes.

Saturday holds, a regular work day for Justin, and a morning of hauling wood for me. I will go to the mtn. with my parents and haul wood until about 4 then Justin is going to take me on a date to the fights @ the Western Park. {Yay for date nights}

I also have a lot of reading to do to keep me up with my college classes. I have one assignment that's due today that I need to finish and submit, then I will be off to my reading for the rest of the weekend in every nook and cranny of time I can find.

In other news, Last night Justin and I spent the afternoon in Jensen. It had come time for sweet old Bindy, the families 13 year old border collie, to go to sleep. She has been such a trooper and taken such great care of that family! It was a tearful afternoon, but it was time. She had suffered a heart attack, her lungs were full of fluid and she was losing blood internally, which was causing her to look incredibly pale. Her breathing was so labored and her sweet old heart was working itself to death, literally, trying to keep her alive.

It's a great relief to know that she's happy and healthy and has lots of friends to chase rabbits with in heaven today!

Likewise, my grandpa's good ole stud, Playboy, broke his leg and had to be put down. It's so hard to lose animals that are just like your family.

It all brings back memories of losing Bailey, and Oh! how we miss her!

My mom's little Shih Tzu Nicomee had 5 puppies on TR. night though, with every life we lose, we gain some it seems like. They are 'accident' puppies. Half Dachsaund and half Shih Tzu. It will be interesting to see what they turn out looking like.

Well...I better get back to Applied Assignmetn #3 part 3!

Happy weekend everyone!

Meet Sega

We decided last week that since we were seeding our lawn, that we better get a cat so he could eat the mice and keep them from eating our Grass seed. It didn't take us long to find this little guy online. We went and picked him up the next day and Oh Boy is he a character!! He thinks he's superman+spiderman+ a gymnast and lightning all put together. He's constantly hissing at himself in the mirror and chasing his tail. He loves Justin and me and is warming up to the dogs. He was only 6 weeks old when we got him, so he's just a little guy! He's so funny!!
