Warren Reunion

This past weekend was the Warren Reunion at Iron Springs Campground. Justin and I went up Thursday night and set up our tent, then headed back down so Justin could work Friday morning. After work Friday we headed back up the mountain and stayed Friday, Saturday and came home Sunday.
On Saturday my dad brought up the wagon and Sparky, the horse, and we took everyone that wanted one on a wagon ride. It was a lot of fun. It was kinda annoying having all the four wheelers and ATV'S buzzing around us, but we pulled through and had a lot of fun. Although, when we were loading the wagon back into the horse trailer my dad stepped out and twisted his ankle. We could tell he didn't feel good at all after that, so when he got home mom took him to the ER to find out that he had torn some tendons and ligaments. I feel so bad! Hopefully everything heals well and they don't have to do surgery!
Saturday night was the big group dinner and games. Dinner was really good, pulled pork sandwiches and every kind of salad you can imagine. After dinner Justin and I were in charge of the games and we had a lot of fun. We got a lot of people in on a big tug of war, that went on for a long time, then we went to three legged races and then finally to jump roping. Danny and Morgan brought up a light plant and set it up so we continued to play even after dark. I don't think we went to bed until at least midnight.
Sunday we packed up and came home. Overall it was a great reunion weekend!

Getting ready for the cobbler cook off!

Everybody got to make marshmallow guns as part of the crafts. They all loved it! Then ran around all weekend shooting sticky marshmallows at people.

Mikey, Shanell and Avery.

Justin and I took a trip to Salina this weekend to visit Mikey, Shanell and their family, including 2 week old baby Avery. She was so sweet, we had such a good visit. We even stayed an extra night and helped them DJ some local fights. I got to run the fog machine. It was really great! Thanks for having us down guys!

Run run run...as fast as you can.

So much has happened lately I have hardly had a second to stop and breathe, lol. Of course it started with a wonderful 4th of July. Justin and I met my family at the park where we always sit with our little caesers pizza and we played frizbee until it got dark. Melanie and Mammy came up and sat with us after a while and we all watched the fireworks together. It was great. Monday the 6th Trish and I took a day long trip to Salt Lake to go wedding shopping where we found so many cute things. We found the perfect dress for me for the wedding so I'm way excited! The next day things kinda turned bad. My dad's brother Lon was having galbladder surgery in Wyoming and my dad's other brother Doug had caught pnemonia from a camping trip the previous weekend. Then to make things worse my Cousin got in a car wreck and worst of all my grandpa was admitted to the hospital that morning because he couldn't catch his breath and felt like he was suffocating.
After six hours of battling with the incompetent doctors at their local hospital they flew him to the IHC Heart and Lungs center in Salt Lake City. His lungs were full of water, which caused his oxygenation levels to drop to 6%, which was causing congestive heart failure. It was very scary. So when we found out what was going on, I jumped online, booked hotel rooms and Justin and I picked up my mom, dad and little brother and to Salt Lake we went. They took really great care of him and drained about 27 pounds of water out of his lungs. So amazingly scary, but his oxygenations levels went back up to between 95 and 98 percent and they ran all sorts of tests on his heart and found his condition was treatable with the right amounts of different medications. He has not been able to go home yet, but we are hoping he will return soon! I'm so grateful for modern medicine! And for my boss, who believes family comes first!!!
That night Justin also got a text from his best friend Mikey, with a picture of their brand new baby girl. Avery Jade! We are so excited for them!
So after we got home on Wednesday things slowed down A LITTLE, lol. Our Co-Ed softball games started yesterday so Justin and I went and practiced hitting Thursday night...I got pretty banged up, lol. I'll post pictures of my bruises. I had a hard time walking the next day but managed to get through work and felt good enough to let Justin take me to the rodeo! Yipee.
It was fun but we must be getting old because by 9:30 we were both tired and ready to leave, lol.
Saturday My mom, sister and I walked around the craft booths on the Court House lawn and went and gathered up all of my stuff from Paula's store, because she's officially closed now.
That afternoon Justin took my dad fishing while Mom, Tiffany and me went to Jessica Hammaker's reception.
The next day I had 11 kids in nursery at church...It was insane. But I survived, lol. That night we went and practiced softball again and on the way home my mom called to tell me that my great grandmother, who has been very sick and bedridden for about the last month, passed away at 7:20 that night.
Monday I had to take Liddy to the vet because she has been gaining a lot of weight lately, which I thought was healthy weight, but outside opinions made me nervous that she might be pregnant. Good news showed that she is in fact, very not pregnant!!! That night we went and practiced softball again, and had a lot of fun.
Yesterday was our first Co-Ed softball game at 9:30, we played very well and only lost by one run, so I'm excited to go play again tonight!!!
Wow...Thanks for reading, I know that's a lot!

Eating, breathing, and living softball.

It's been a while. Last weekend Justin and some friends played in the Hit-Run-Score all night tournament that's a fundraiser for local cancer victms. The games started Friday afternoon and didn't end til noon on Sunday. We knew it was going to be a long weekend so we just pulled the camper to the park and stayed in it, which was way fun. We ended up barbecueing quite a bit and we even got to do a big breakfast. The team did pretty well. They played 9 games in total I think and lost 3. They got beat out by Saturday night, which was probably a good thing because everyone seemed to be getting hurt. Justin got ran over on 3rd in their 2nd to last game and hurt his back pretty bad. Other than that we had a lot of fun!
Monday we both had the day off and were planning on going riding four wheelers but with Justin's back injury we decided not to, then Melanie ended up going to Grand Junction to Sams so we tagged along. Justin got to stop at the chiropractor on the way over and back so she got him straitened out. He was excited because he got to do some shopping for his Alaska trip.
Other than that we've mostly just been working. Justin had softball again Wednesday night for the beginning of the city league tournament and they won 1 of 2 games.
I'm just very glad it's finally Friday and am planning on sleeping in tomorrow, lol. I'm excited for the fourth of july on Saturday and I don't know why but I"m kindof excited to go to the rodeo next weekend....if I can talk Justin into taking me :D This is Justin rounding third in the fastest Base running contest. He placed third by running around all four bases in 11.2 seconds. I got to hang out with Nichole for the first time in a long time since Taylor was playing in the tournament with the boys, she came to watch.

This is Jayden. His dad was Cody, the third base man. They hungout with us at the camper at all over the bleachers all weekend, and oh man did this boy love dirt! He was so dang cute!

The Dentist

So I have had an overfill of Dental visits this year. Although Justin has had more in the last few years than I have had in my lifetime -- poor kid! A few weeks ago he broke a tooth so we got him in and an old cavity had not been drilled out all the way before they capped it so it gave way and broke off. Next option root canal. So they did the first half of the root canal last tuesday and we went in yesterday to have them finish. They were running behind schedule and could only get part way through it so they put a temporary fill on and he has to go back in to get the crown put in next week. After that he has to go back and get all THREE of his cavities fixed. So since I went and sat with him yesterday through his appointment I was super paraniod about going to my dental check up this morning. I had myself so freaked out I was almost ready to cry on my way to town....I have a huge pain tollerance but when it comes to metal on my teeth-- my nerves get shot. It's like nails on a chalk board. I just hate it! So I was very happy with my 30 min. appointment and happy to hear I have beautiful healthy teeth, no cavities and I don't have to go back til August. SCORE! Now I just feel really bad for poor Justin! Him n his teeth need a break!

Lasik..and Fathers Day

So...Depression has not officially set in, but Friday was a disappoitment to say the least. I knew when I scheduled my appointment that there would be a chance my pre-exam would conclude that I was not a good candidate for lasik but all the tests Dr. Seitz did showed no signs of problems. So Friday when I got there after two hours of testing they tell me that my cornea is too thin to do lasik, but they could do something called a PRK which is where they use the laser that reshapes your cornea, just like lasik, but since my cornea is too thin instead of cutting a flap in your cornea to use as a natural bandaid, they would just run the laser through my cornea to reshape the retina but that would create a huge abrasion on my cornea, it pretty much just burns it. So if they did that they would have to put a contact over it to act as a bandaid to help it heal, which was problem number two: I'm allergic to the surgical plastic contacts are made of which is why I don't wear them already. He also said that PRK has a longer recovery time, meaning I would have to supplement eye drops every 15 minutes for the next 2-3 months, which wouldn't be fun, especially where I already have underproducing tearducts so my eyes would almost be intolerably dry all the time. Another down side is that I'm only 20 and since a person's perscription doesn't usually stabalize til their 30's or in women, after they're done having children, he said that even if I did choose to have it done that day, I would probably have to come back within 5-10 years and have it redone or I would be right back in glasses......

So my mom and I ended up spending the weekend shopping for fathers day gifts and fabric. It was pretty fun aside from the disappointing news. I made it home Saturday in time for Melanie's Father's day barbecue at our house where Lisa, Tiff, Danny, Ramsey, Stefanie, Morgan, Ali, Ashton, Grayson and Mammy and Pappy all came down and we had an indoor barbecue because of the storm. It was pretty fun and after the weather cleared up we all went outside and played on the rope swing Justin built for me. The kids had a blast. Sunday I got to go to my parents house for lunch, then when justin got home from work we went back over and gave Monty his gifts before he had to leave for Salt Lake to go back to China. Then we went back to my parents to give my dad his gifts and then headed to my grandparents for my grandpa's fathers day dinner. We sure did a lot of eating! Hailey got to eat her first corn on the cob ever too. I offered her a bite and she immediately figured it out and took it from me! It was funny but we had fun and got to enjoy all of our fathers and grandfathers!!! Hope you all had a great one too!

Gush...Gush

I can't help it, I have to show off what a sweet husband I have. He sent me flowers to work today and they are so gorgeous! It's funny because there was this sweet older lady sitting next to the door when they came in and when she said they were for me the lady goes " You must not have been married very long," I smiled because I'm proud of the 13 months we've been married so I can consider that a long time, lol, I just have an ultra-great husband :D
