Things I've been into lately...

 I have been loving the new little cafe here in town. It's a sandwich/salad/soup shop with coffee and hard serve Ice cream and it is DELICIOUS! It's in the back of Bitter Creek Books. It only opened this last week and I've been there twice and I've been hungry for it both yesterday and today...
I think I might give in today
Ever since I finished my dining table and got it moved in the house I've been dieing to go to Salt lake and pick up my chairs!

Liddy will be 3 weeks along this Sunday and, although we still have 6 weeks to go, I'm getting anxious. I want to have her be safe and healthy and have all these puppies here and doing well. I just can't wait!

I have been loving the few hours of sunshine we've been getting here and there that have been making my pussywillow tree bloom it's fuzzy blooms! It's so cute!

Along with that sunshine comes Open Burn season in Uintah county which means...dun.dun.dun... Camp-outs in my back yard, complete with a fire!
Justin hauled and raked gravel for our firepit area the other day and got it all leveld out. It looks so good! I already had 1 fire, but I'm excited to have more!!

Sunshine also brings....YARD SALES! I went to 9 last Saturday with some girls from work and had a great time! {Thanks girls!}
Plus...I'm having one this Saturday/ sharing one with my sister at my house since I live closer to town than she does.  Hope it's good!

I've also kindof been a little bit bad...I've been drinking Pepsi/Dr.Pepper again. I'm not doing too bad, but I always beat myself up about it since I know how unhealthy it is...
Artichokes. I'm so hungry for marinated Artichoke hearts. The tangy flavor/unique texture. Yum. yum . yum.

Florida. I'm getting so excited to take a vaca./training trip to Florida at the end of May. We are going to a training for Justin's new Hydrographing business, but we booked a few extra days for an "anniversary trip" as well. It's going to be fun!!

My new spray on tan. THANKS SHAWNY! I've found my go-to girl for great looking, air brushed, spray on tans! I had to give this a test run before we went to Florida. It's only day 1, but I love it so far! So I'm thinking I can ditch the tanning pass, and just get a fake-bake before I go.
Much healthier ;)

Contests!!! I have been having so much fun searching around looking for contests on Blogs to enter. Most of them are craft blogs, so I'm already a follower and don't really look very far. They come to me, lol. But anyway. I've never been much of a 'contestant' but I tried a few out a few days ago and I won myself an adorable purple purse, and a cute cherry blossom print from a professional photographer.
Cool!
 So...I've been trying to stretch my winning luck lately by entereing a few contests here and there.
We'll see how it goes!

Purple. I've been loving purple. I went through a pretty intense purple phase when I was younger and I think it's coming back. Nothing TOO dramatic though...just ligt touches here and there..

Have a great weekend everyone!

Anybody Want a Dog???

This week has been an exceptionally good week....but I'm so ready for the weekend.
We have a ward Easter party tonight and I should probably go, but just to be in the "It's the weekend and I don't have to do anything" attitude...I kind of want to stay home....and stain my dining table.
Blah.
I know.
 But what's a girl gunna do?
I cleaned my house Wednesday night (score)-- now I just need to dig into the little projects.
I've got almost all of the table sanded and the stain is just sitting there...waiting....patiently

Last night I made home made Chicken Cordon Bleu for dinner. It was super yummy! Then while dad and Justin worked on getting his 1970 Chevy Ready to run, I did a cute little project. I'll post pictures later.
It was so fun that it makes me just want to sit at home and do little projects all the time.
...Ahhh...How would that be....

Well. Dream world aside, I have 1 hour of work left so I better continue messing around on the Internet  get back to work.

P.S. I'm ready to give Sophie away. She ate my brand new {super cute/blue} $4 watering can from Walmart.
Stupid Dog

I wish she was still this small and adorable :D
But we love her anyway.

Have a great Weekend!

Terrific Tuesday...

Yesterday was a good day! Don't you just love those good days?
Aside from a good day at work, I went to the rec. center and ran for 42 minutes. (That's a long time for me!)
When I was finished I wanted to throw up, but it felt good, lol. I burned over 300 calories and that's amazing.
Then I went tanning. Something my mother hates, but I should do more often. I've always had pasty white skin- and I hate it. So this was rewarding also!
After tanning I went to walmart- We needed eggs, milk etc.
Ran home, cooked dinner, ate and went to the temple.
Ahhh...the temple. It's such a wonderful place.
I love the peace and quiet in the temple, and the comforting feelings you get that help push you through the next few days/weeks etc.
After the temple, we came home and I got to work sanding my table {Thanks dad for the belt sander- that jiggly thing of mine was about to make my hands fall off}
I got everything but the legs sanded (YAY!)
Now that I'm not going to California (FYI, I was going to go to Cali. with some girls from work over Easter weekend and now I'm not- but I already has my $$ set aside- Yippee) I have extra spending money to buy all 6 of my dining room chairs.

For $60 a piece it was going to be a while before I bit that chunk-a-change, but now I can get them next weekend when I go to SLC with my family for our annual family pictures at temple square.
Anyway...My new plan for buying chairs has re-motivated me to finish my table. And that's cool because I'm tired of parking in the driveway while the garage houses my table/wood mess :D
In other news...Yesterday Justin also got the news that his hydro dipping kit was being shipped from Florida to us today. Once he gets it set up in the shop, we will be taking a trip down to Miami to receive the proper training on how to use it. We're booked to train on May 19 and 20, so today I looked up flights and my excitement has only escalated from there.

If you can imagine...

ANYWAY.....it's days like yesterday that are the days I like to remember when the not so good ones come along. I hope that's not anytime soon... But in any form- I enjoyed yesterday and I'm grateful for today!
There is more table work to be done tonight!!
Plus I'm making home made Chicken Cordon Bleu and Sauteed Yellow Squash and Zucchini for dinner.
{Looks like today is going to be a great day too}

Debt...

So I did some math...and I'm so excited to know that: If we continue to pay the amount of money that we pay monthly on our "payoff-able" debt for the next 5 1/2 years, everything we own will be paid off. Totally awesome!!! {As in when my car is paid off, we put that money towards the house, etc.etc.}
Assuming that our financial situation and debts don't drastically change that is...

Accounting has ruined me....
And I love Excel.
It's a blessing.
The end

In like a Lion, Out like a lamb.

{Warning: All these pictures came off my phone so please pardon their lack-luster quality}

I can't believe March is already over. Like...where did it go??
Anyway. We were incredibly busy and got ourselves out and enjoyed it, even though we only had a little bit of good weather.
I'll just share a few pictures to summarize the end of our month.

Justin shot his bow in the Outdoor Expo. It was a series of moving/pop up targets. It was really fun!

On the 28th, we took Liddy out to North Ogden to stay with her boyfriend Mr. Bear. It was hard to leave her. I'm such a gush when it comes to my Liddy girl. She's just so precious!
 The sunset on the way to North Ogden was beautiful!
 The day after we dropped Liddy off, we spent some time in the City. Justin had to stop at a few pet stores and that's where we met this guy. Romeo was a Blue fronted Amazon. He was so gentle and funny. Whenever someone would walk through the door and the 'dinger' would go off, he would mimic it and he sounded exactly like it.

 After we got home, Sophie spent a good amount of her time Moping. She missed Liddy so much! It was hard for all of us to be without her.
 I spent one Saturday designing some new stickers in my Vinyl program and I did some little craft projects with them. They turned out really cute! I'll have to post some pics of those later.
 That same Saturday (I was in a crafty mood) I finally talked Justin into letting me sell our old dining table so I could build a new one. It was just so small and it would only seat 4 people and it wasn't the style I wanted anymore. So after I sold the old one, I went and bought the wood and got to work on this puppy!!
Thanks to a modified version of this modern farmhouse table plan I had it built in one night. I am now working on sanding it so I can stain it a dark espresso.
I can't wait!!
 Over the first weekend in April my family came over to watch conference with me and Sophie continued to mope. She slept by me all morning long, laying in front of the couch (which we don't usually let her do)
{P.S. Like my new gray rug? IKEA-$20- For real!}
 That same Sunday it snowed. I was so diappointed. It actually got up to 75 degrees on Saturday, just to turn around and snow Sunday. What a bummer!!!
 For dessert Sunday afternoon I made a Macaroon filled Chocolate Bundt cake and it turned out so pretty! I was so proud of myself for not breaking it or getting it stuck. Whew...
 Yesterday, April 7, I got to go pick up my Beautiful Liddy girl!!! My mom and I took the day off work and we made a few stops before the rain started. It POURED! The interstate was horrible, so we decided instead of finishing our shopping we were going to get Liddy and get our butts home.
I was so glad to see Liddy and have her be happy and healthy! She is now (approximately) 5 days pregnant. She is due on June 5th.
We're hoping that she has between 8 and 10 puppies. She had 10 puppies last time, so we think that's a good approximation.
I have started a new blog to track the progress of her gestation and to post pictures of the puppies once they're born (mostly for buyers that want updates) but if you want to check it out, I've got one post on there so far!

This weekend is the Home and Garden Show that is hosted by KLCY Radio station here in town. Justin registered for a booth, so I'm sure that's where we'll be spending our weekend.
Im going to take Liddy down there for a few minutes this afternoon to show off her Harness (that's what Justin's booth is- Handbraided dog collars, leashes, harnesses, bow slings, survival bracelets etc.)
I don't want to stress her out though so it will definately have to be a quick "show off" session.

This coming week we have a fairly normal schedule. Monday: Homework, Tuesday: Temple Sealings (so excited!!!) Wednesday: Relief Society Service Project, Thursday: Girls night, Friday: Date Night, Saturday:  clean-my-house-because-it-needs-it-big-time-DAY!!!

Thanks for enduring my "journaling" recap. Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
