So Blessed....

Life can be so overwhelming sometimes. It is so easy to take for granted all the many wonderful blessings we have and enjoy! I have been so happy to have all those blessings lately. I have enjoyed taking time to just be aware of how blessed I am and to thank my Heavenly Father for all those wonderful blessings!
  • I am grateful for the wonderful sunshine that has decided to come out and make my days so much brighter!
  • I am grateful that the snow on my back deck was melted away enough that I could shovel off what was left and get my patio furniture out of the garage!
  • I am grateful for the brave little pieces of grass that are starting to stand up and turn green now that the snow is melting away!
  • I'm grateful that Justin and I both got Bonuses from work and that we've been able to use that extra money towards getting rid of our debt instead of (what I feel like most people do) blowing it, or using it as a down payment on more "debt"
  • I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity I have to go to Women's Conference tomorrow to hear the speakers and try to absorb every little wonderful thing they're going to say
  • I'm grateful for my and Justin's health and our home and jobs!
  • I'm so grateful for my wonderful family! I love them so much!
  • I'm grateful our country isn't under water or being hit by tsunami's or earthquakes and I'm praying for those people who have been effected by this disaster

I'm grateful for so so many other things that I don't need to take the time to list here.

Have a great weekend everyone!
I hope you're all spending time to be grateful for everything you're blessed to have in your lives and remembering where they come from!

Go Green....

I don't have any St. Patricks Day Decorations...
I have a green wreath...I guess that would work...

I think it's cute.

Bedroom Re-do!

I decided our bedroom needed a little updating. There was nothing wrong with it, but I decided it was missing a "wow" factor, and of all places, I think your Master Bedroom should have a "wow" factor.

So this was it before.....

Yep-- basket of laundry and everything
Kindof drab...but not too bad right?

So I stenciled the walls with a Rabat Stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils
I hung my new shelf, and curtains as well. We hung our headboard a little higher on the wall instead of letting it sit on the floor-- and this is my masterpiece :D

I think I found my "wow" factor...
I moved the dresser and swapped the old TV for some cute decorations

I just couldn't get rid of my antique ceiling tin, so I had to shove it up on that shelf

I also moved the trunk from the end of the bed to in front of the window and moved the bench I build last summer from the dining room to the end of the bed....
Now I need to build a new bench but I think it was worth it!!!

 So in the end:

Happy Friday

I found this quote on How Sweet It Is this morning and I loved it, so I thought I would pass it on.

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you!

Now I need help....

Now that I've been browsing all the different stencils I can get from
And I found 3 different patterns I'm considering and I need your advise!
Comment and tell me which one you like best, please!

Above is Casablanca

 Above is Moroccan Dream
And this one is called Rabat....
I know they all look fairly similar, but they are different.
I think I'm personally leaning towards Rabat, but I still need your help so I can get one of them ordered and on it's way!
Thanks!

Bedroom Re-do Check it out!

Loving the sunshine...

Since I posted last, we have had a few different things going on. Exactly 1 week ago I took Justin to the doctor because we were worried he had Pneumonia. When we got there the Doctor told him it was a bad case of Bronchitis, I was so relieved. She prescribed him some antibiotics to keep it from turning into pneumonia and some cough medicine with Codeine in it to help him sleep.
After I got him home at about 4ish, he slept from then until about 8 the next morning. He kept going from freezing cold to roasting hot, throwing up, coughing, migraine pains...the works. I felt so bad for him. At one point I couldn't wake him up and his fever was so bad I almost hauled him to the ER, but I finally got him woken up and some aspirin in him and about an hour later his fever broke
Whew!
It was some scary business, but after he woke up the next day he did better. He wasn't up and moving for about 3 days and today is the first day he's been back to work since that Tuesday.
Since Justin was so sick we didn't go to Volleyball on Wednesday or Basketball on Thursday, so we got to spend a lot of 'at home time' which got me a little big stir crazy and gave me some new decorating ideas.
I feel like with all the decorating we've done in the house, it ties together pretty well for the most part, but the parts that don't tie in have really started bugging me. I have now decided that I'm going to start in the Master Bedroom and re-do the whole upstairs one room at a time.
I will feel much better having the whole house feeling unified/personalized to our {mostly my} style.
I also feel that if I take on that project, by the time the basement is finished, I can incorporate the same colors and themes into the basement to make the entire house feel united. I'm really excited!
On Friday Justin's cousins Dan and Wendy came out to hang out and we had such a good time!!!
We got Justin out of bed for the first time since Tuesday and we dragged him out to Dinner at Club XS. It was the first time we had eaten there, but we had heard it was good. I wasn't very impressed at all, but it was nice to just sit and talk with Dan and Wendy and be out of the house.
Saturday Wendy and I went shopping for the majority of the morning for my Birthday {Pictures to come soon}. I had so much fun! She is just fun to talk to and hang out with. Thanks Wendy!
After we went shopping we went home just to find that Justin and Dan put up a piece of Sheet Rock!! I was SO EXCITED! I can't believe that we have {a part of} a wall!!!
After we ate some lunch Dan and Justin went over to Dianne's house and Dan got a Cockateil {Same place we got our two from}
While the boys were doing that Wendy and I did a little more shopping then we got ready for my party.
My family and Justin's family and some of my friends came over and we ate dinner and dessert, opened presents and played Just Dance on the Wii!
It was such a great time.
Sunday, for my Birthday, We got up and helped get Dan and Wendy on their way home, then we just napped. When we woke up we headed to Jensen where I colored my mom's hair for her and we ate dinner and looked through cookbooks. {One of my favorite things to do}
It was great!
All in all I had a great birthday! Thank You to Everyone to help this whole weekend feel like one big Happy 22nd Birthday for me!

Yesterday I was back at the homework again while Justin enjoyed his last day off work for 7 days. Today he's been back to work and I'm so grateful that it's a nice day outside for him to work in. Heaven only knows the last thing his lungs need is more cold air!

On a side note!! I forgot to mention that while Dan was here we inducted him into our project and him and Justin hauled 11 more pieces of sheet rock into the basement and all 24 rolls of Insulation that we need to sound proof our basement ceiling. Right now if there's someone walking upstairs while you're downstairs, it sounds like a herd of elephants.
Not cool.
So I'm beyond thrilled that it's all sitting down there.
Now to just put it together :D
