Change: Something Made Different

Think excitement, talk excitement, act out excitement, and you are bound to become an excited person. Life will take on a new zest, deeper interest and greater meaning. You can think, talk and act yourself into dullness or into monotony or into unhappiness. By the same process you can build up inspiration, excitement and surging depth of joy.

I am so full of excitement and gratitude about what my life holds right now, it's amazing. I am so in love with having our own home, I love that our dogs are like our children and that we can treat them as such and they love it just as much as we do. I love being witness to them learning, growing and changing. I derive a sense of self worth from my ability to take care of others. I always have. I feel it has been passed down to me from my Grandma Wadsworth, who is the most caring, considerate person I know.
She does not care for people by means of wealth or gifts. She has a pure hearted concern for almost every person she knows. She is entirely the person I aspire to be. She is educated, a mother, a home maker and is loved by all who know her.
I have so enjoyed being able to turn our new house into a home. I love being able to spend my evenings with Justin and our girls. Our little family becomes more precious to me daily.
At this much anticipated time of the year, I am grateful to welcome the change in jobs that I am experiencing. Tomorrow is my last day at Pink. I thought I would maybe have a little nostalgia or sadness over leaving here, but I am surprising even myself by feeling nothing but excitement over the change that is to come.
I get to spend more time at the house, cooking, cleaning and laundering to my hearts content. I get to spend more time with my girls and especially Justin, which is my favorite part. I am also excited that this change occured so close to the holidays, which enables me to spend more time with my family.
I am so excited for the Wadsworth Christmas Party, which I have been, every year of my life, as far back as I can remember. It was the highlight of the Holidays, aside from Christmas morning. I resemble in appearance and character my Wadsworth relative, which I believe, is what makes me so earnest to spend time with them. As well as because they live so far away, and always have.
I also, am excited for Justin and my trip to Salt Lake this weekend. Although it's only for one night, it will be a first for me. I have never been to temple square to see the Christmas lights, and I've always wanted to. We are going to go Christmas shopping and Justin is going to take me to see the lights. He truly is the best!
I just had to voice my gratitude for all the wonderful blessings we are enjoying! It really is such a wonderful time!

December 2009

Of course we had to take pictures the day before it snowed this year. I love them, even though they are snow-less. It was freezing cold if that makes any difference! We just love our little family of us and the dogs, it's so wonderful.

The Richest Man in Babylon

I've had this book sitting around for almost a year now. I've been told fequently about what a good book it is, and now that I've read it, I can agree. It is a book about achieving financial success by teaching effective and proper money handling techniques. Quite a good read. There are valuable lessons to be learned from this book, especially after you implement them into your life. Many of which we alredy have, and I am incredibly grateful for. It also has an incredibly unique series of stories and a very interesting history behind it! It was the richest nation to grace it's time before it was finally conquered and left to the elements, which buried it with sand and caused it to disintegrate, nearly 8000 years ago.

The Blind Side

I went and saw The Blind Side with Trish last night. I hadn't seen previews or anything, so I didn't really have any expectations. Can I just say....What a good movie! I loved it. It was funny and heart warming, I just loved it! If you're looking for a good show, I so recommend you see this one!

Scrub A Dub-Dub

So right before we went to pick up Bailey, Justin decided to give Liddy a bath before she met her new friend. I was trying to get ready for work while he was bathing her and It was just so cute, I had to take some pictures. She's such a big dog, that it's kinda hard, and her fur makes it impossible, since it's like...water resistant. Water just runs right off of it instead of sticking...But she's so calm she tries to cooperate even though she doesnt' exactly love it. I had to share some pictures of my baby girl!

Todays adventures....

So I have some news to share :D and no I'm not pregnant :D haha I'm actually pretty excited about this news though, oddly enough. So I have been working at Pink since June right, and recently began filling in part time at the Marriott for Trish, and in spite of the long hours, I believe I've been holding together quite well. Justin has been an incredible help and I couldn't appreciate it more, but last night, Brooklyn and Zeke come down and told me that since things were so slow, they needed to lay me off.
It's sad news to me, because I hate to see the ecomony taking such a toll on these good people. I'm relieved that we don't depend on my income, especailly with the new house, so that didn't really put us in a bind at all, plus since I've been working at the Marriott, I can just pick up hours there, if I want to, to fill the time, learn more, and gain more experience! I am also fairly excited to catch back up with the vinyl business. I've never been able to fully devote my time and efforts to it, since I've been working ever since we got it, but now I hope things will slow down and I can catch up with it. I have a lot of ideas I want to get started on and am also excited to use some creativity in my Christmas presents, now that I have the time.
So, if anyone is needing to order Vinyl, let me know. I now have the time :D I'm quite excited.
Justing took Bailey to the vet on Tuesday for a checkup. We wanted to be sure everything had healed up well from her being Spaid, and we had a sneaking suspicion she had an infection. We were right. They found a very small UTI, so they put her on medication and we are trying to beat it out before it gets worse. When we initially brought her home with us on November 14, we weighed her and she weighed 28 pounds.
{The ride Home, she loved being in our laps}
At the vet on Tuesday she weighed 33 pounds.
She's growing like a weed! Her and Liddy are so cute together now too! We just love how good of friends they are. They take such good care of eachother :D
{ Not!! A good picture of me, but I had to give proof of how spoiled they are :D}
I also had to share some pictures of what Christmas is like at the Pratt house. We're very excited for Christmas this year, and now I'm even more excited because I'll have more time to spend with family and friends and enjoy this season more fully!

Now this has nothing to do with Christmas. I was just excited because I've had this pot forever now and couldn't ever find exactly what foliage I wanted for it and at Tai Pan in St.George, I scored and found these, which I love. So they get to join the Christmas decorations.

Not a good picture of the tree. It's prettier when it's lit up, but we love it.

My Shield

Last night, Justin and I had the opportunity to go to the temple and do some Initatories. I have to tell you that after a long day of so much hurrying and thinking and trying to be professional, there is no better place to go to be calm, and comforted. I had to wait for a few minutes after the Initatory, and I can't describe how grateful I am for the feeling of closeness to the Lord the temple provides. The magnitude of the knowledge that there is no other place on earth that you can be closer to god is outstanding. It was a reminder that the lord loves us, takes care of us, watches out for us, wants us to be happy and blesses us. He appreciates the time we take to do the work , and in return for that work, we are blessed even more.

After we went home and ate dinner, we read a couple chapters in the Book Of Mormon (we have been trying to get through it for 2 years now) and had such a great time discussing the things we had read and learned. Discussing faith, and trust in the lord. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of the true gospel of Jesus Christ and for the trust I have in the lord. There is no greater power than to act in the lords ways and to follow his teachings and spiritual promptings.

It was a wonderful reminder of what this life is all about.
